The United Gilsonite Laboratories Asbestos Personal Injury Trust
The United Gilsonite Laboratories Asbestos Personal Injury Trust (the “Trust”) was established pursuant to the Modified First Amended Plan of Reorganization of United Gilsonite Laboratories Under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, dated September 30, 2014 (the “Plan”). The Trust was created to process, liquidate and pay valid asbestos personal injury claims in accordance with the First Amended United Gilsonite Laboratories Asbestos Personal Injury Trust Distribution Procedures (as may be amended from time to time, the “TDP”).
Pursuant to the TDP, the Trust has adopted policies and procedures for receiving, reviewing and paying claims for asbestos personal injuries. These procedures include the claim form to be filed as proof of claim with the Trust. The filing instructions, claim form, electronic filer agreement required for electronic submissions, and a complete copy of the TDP are available for download on the Resources page of this website.
Claims may be filed with the Trust on or after December 17, 2015. The Initial Claims Filing Date (as that term is defined in section 5.1(a)(1) of the TDP) has been set by the Trust as June 17, 2016. The Trust will process claims in the order stipulated by Section 5.1(a)(1) of the TDP.
